Assist Resourcing are looking for experienced Wood Machinists in Sheffield to work for one of the UKs leading timber merchants and distributors. This opportunity is a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate, and the salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Working as a Wood Machinist:
- Operating Machines to cut timber to client specs
- Machinery includes: Four Sided Cutters, Four Sided Moulders
- Minimum experience of 5 years required working on the following:
- Band Re-saws (Robinson/Stenner/Wadkin)
- Auto & Manual Cross Cut Saws
- Multi-rip Saws (Ogam/Wadkin/Robinson/Leadermac)
- Must be proficient in:
- Cutting Lists
- Work Orders
- Measuring & Calculating Volumes in Linear Metres/Linear Feet & Cubic Metres
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 08:00 - 16:30
- Reasonable overtime always available!

- Weekly Pay (Pay day every Friday)
- 24 hour support from the Assist team
- Temp to Perm opportunities
- You will preferably be City & Guilds Qualified or at least NVQ Level
- Minimum experience of 5 years required working on the following:
