Assist Resourcing UK Limited are delighted to be recruiting for an Experienced Warehouse Shift Manager for our fabulous chilled distribution client based in Daventry.

This role will be reporting directly to the operations and Transport Manager and will involve all aspects dealing with the activities within the Transport Department to include managing, training and mentoring a group of planners, transport admin, LGV drivers and warehouse operatives.   As a  key role for our client and we are looking for candidates that excels in leadership, customer service and who can successful meet and exceed KPIs.

The role is working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern 6pm until 6am, however flexibility will be needed due to business demands.

We are looking for candidates who have a passion for transport, who are experienced in health and safety, who can mentor a team to be the best that they can and also has great communication skills across all levels as you will be dealing directly with Key clients of the business.  An affiliation with governing bodies such as BRC, FTA, ROSPA is also a must.

You will need to have excellent experience of transport operational systems, drivers WTD, transport legislation, tachographs, planning loads etc and warehouse systems. 
This is a permanent position that our client is looking to fill immediately.

We are looking for candidates who have worked at this level in a transport, distribution environment ideally in a chilled environment.
