The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our clients new flagship 500,000sq.ft Distribution Centre that is due to open early in 2017.

A complex operation delivering high levels of service for a brand market leader, as the successful candidate you will play a vital part in delivering an exceptional service to the customer.

Core Hours: 06.00am – 14.00pm & 14.00pm – 22.00pm rotating 

Core Days: Any 5 from 7.

Also available 4 on 4 off days and 4 on 4 off Nights

*** However due to the nature of the role you will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to your working hours *****

Rates of pay £8.50 – £9.50 (depending on what shift you are on)

Key Responsibilities:

·Obtain and maintain a thorough and detailed knowledge of the warehousing duties, functions and requirements.

·Gain a detailed understanding of the relevant legislation within the Distribution Centre and operate within these requirements

·Maintaining high levels of Health & Safety at all times, reporting any incidents to the appropriate manager.

·Deliver high quality work with attention to detail and high levels of housekeeping.

·Working to business KPI’s & SLA’s across performance, cost and quality.

·Ensure that a team working culture is prevalent throughout the Distribution Centre.

·Deliver first class quality in everything that you do.

This list is not exhaustive and the successful position holder may be required to carry out any task which the Company might reasonably require you to do.

Transferrable Skills:

·FLT Reach, Counterbalance, VNA and PPT Certificates are an advantage but not essential.

·Willing to develop further and undertake any relevant courses.

·Able to prioritise work and be self-motivated.

·Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail especially when under pressure.

·Must be a team player who is also capable of working on their own initiative.

·Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns.

·Should have good oral and written communication skills.

·Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems.

·Not willing to accept second best.
